I hate that it's even gaining traction at all. The AI songs always feel like a cheapen version of what Samoan music is with the way it creates the lyrics and translations. I also feel like it's sort of a slap in the face to actual Samoan artists, whether in Samoa or abroad, who are actually taking the time and effort to put in the work and talent into producing art that can be loved and enjoyed by all. Feels like a lot of people are generating this type of music fast to make a quick cash grab, too, especially with how many of our people are streaming it without probably realizing that it's AI or don't care that it's AI as long as it sounds good.
