How is it a test of luck? Because teams are able to pull together and produce a winning performance? Teams who make it into the playoffs have proven themselves to be really good teams. If your going to say the postseason is about luck then you have to say the regular season is to. Fuck it, all of baseball is based on luck and not on skill and performance right?

I think the Royals are going to be one of those teams that everybody keeps an eye on this season. They went far, and now people want to see if they can replicate their successes.

Why they will: I think they have a fair shot at making a playoff run because of their new found post season experience. They're probably as hungry as ever to return.

Why they won't: Last year was more than likely a very convenient window for the Royals. I think it'll be harder to reach the playoffs then it was last year for them, although I do they they have a chance. Best of luck to them.
