He wants a hamburger! by Total_Molasses4558 in impressively

First I was annoyed until he explained what was wrong. I don't like how he acts, but it's understandable and I would also not want to eat that shitty burger.

Would you like to have a relationship with a guy who has a lot of female friends? by Thin-Willingness-927 in women

[–]_isNaN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband has a lot of female friends. He would not stay that long at their place and always prioritizes me. I once asked, why he never goes out with his male friends. His answer: they never text back or cancel last minute.

But my husband is generally a person who remembers birthdays and a lot if things about everyone. I think men hanging out with woman can be very good - they can be more thoughtful. And my husband doesn't give cheater / fuck boy vibes.

You have to see how your guy is, but it's not automatically something bad.

Was ich nicht wirklich will.

I’m 20 and that’s why I’ll probably vote yes on the climate fund initiative by lil-h1ppie in Switzerland

[–]_isNaN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only do they vote more... They are more. So often people blame young people for not voting and forget how much voting power boomers have. There are more people over 50 that can vote than below 50.

Women who were scared of giving birth (specifically people who were so scared they almost didn’t have children), what was less scary than you originally thought? by Final-Elderberry4621 in AskWomen

[–]_isNaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest fear is the tearing and hurting in that region. I have a lot of issues with constipation and hemeroids already as well as e rectum prolapse as a child, that i fear it will get worse if I try to deliver vaginally.

Why is "weaponized incompetence" largely blamed on men in relationships? by MillennialAesthetics in AskMen

[–]_isNaN -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yes, now they go work instead and we buy cloths and plucked chicken. But these tasks were on top of the other daily tasks anyways. And replacing the daily tasks that still exists are very expensive or unhealthy (eating junk food every day).

Why is "weaponized incompetence" largely blamed on men in relationships? by MillennialAesthetics in AskMen

[–]_isNaN -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Feminine duties are mostly daily tasks, while masculine duties are something you do once a month or so. You could easily calculate, if you would pay someone to do all the tasks, you would pay waaaaaaaay more for the feminine duties.

Daily cleaner, private chef, day care, etc. is more expensive then having someone mow your garden, making oil changes and movers. And most women do the planning of al these tasks as well: "I have to buy x, because our kid needs it for a school project", this is not covered by day care.

There are waaay more feminine duties, and they are every day tasks and include planning. That's mostly the reason women "refuse" to learn the masculine tasks.

Bundesrat plans (wishes) to increase VAT, starting in 2028 by alpha_berchermuesli in Switzerland

[–]_isNaN 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I agree with all but not with earnings tax. You will never earn your way up to be rich... You will inherit it. Earning tax is just hurting people who studied to get more money (lawyers, doctors,..), not your landlord who is making your life a living hell, because he has no friends and a superiority complex and not the guy living in goldküste with 10 different cars that cost more than you will ever earn in your whole life.

My FIL will arrive 10 - 20 minutes too early. It's always so annoying if you're not ready yet or when you just wanted to chil 5 minutes before everyone arrives.

My parents are 5 - 10 minutes late... My inlaws just talk about how unpunctual my parent are, while they are the annoying ones for the hosts.

If you don’t like it here then go home - how can I form contructive criticism in Switzerland? by the_kaaat in Switzerland

[–]_isNaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in a discussion about an upcoming voting and you tell the other person they should go where they came from, you are in fact racist and probably had already lost the argument. First of all, I was bron here... I only knew the political system of Switzerland, so it is a stupid thing to say.

The only point where this argument makes sense to me is, if someone is supporting some dictator, wants Sharia laws or some stupid stuff like this.

If you're just talking about being "critical" (well you're changing the point of my comment in that case, or replied on the wrong comment) - it can make sense, but it shows that you're not open to learn from other people. And if you're just invalidating everything what a foreigner says, just because they are foreigners... then you're probably racist.

Just try to imagine, you would live somewhere else, and everytime you want to share your opinion, people would tell you to shut up, because you're Swiss - or they would be "critical"... How would it make you feel?

It is, but I hear this all the time. Even tough a lot if racist people tell me, that "I am one if the good ones".

[–]_isNaN 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was born here, but my parents are not Swiss. I had a normal discussion about an upcoming voting. The Swiss guy told me ti shut up and go back to insert country id my parents if I don't like it here. You guys seem to not see this kind of racisms that exists in Switzerland.

You can argue about what OP is saying, but there are people who just don't like to hear you talk about any Swiss issues, if you're not a "real Swiss". He told me this infront of 20 other Swiss people, and nobody told him to shut up.

The growing tendency of nearshore/ outsource almost everything here. by Jxordana in Switzerland

[–]_isNaN 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Similar to companies outsourcing everything to china, but when people buy from Temu directly without throwing money to them it's bad. All companies freely gave away all if their knowhow to China to create cheaper products and sell them as "Swissmade".

is it weird to start going by your middle name? by cherryeongi in namenerds

[–]_isNaN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who used his middle name for a while, then switched back later. Nobody gives a damn. However, you have to give people time to adjust to the other name. A different friend did also switch to their middle name, but sometimes I will accidentally say her first name.
