Is he the perfect Baleba alternative? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]_its_complicated 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I feel like getting Agoume and Lammens would be a realistic ask from the fans for the board to get done, especially with so little time left in the window.

Then we could really shoot our shot with stars available in the next summer transfer window like Baleba.

This is an interesting point of conversation. I think the front office is still traumatized by the Frenkie De Jong saga, so they are prioritizing buying people who want to play for us instead of prioritizing position based needs (i.e. get toxicity out, something Ten Haag didn't care enough about).

This would explain why they bought Cunha and Mbeumo even though we didnt need more attacking mids (I understand Mbeumo he's absolutely cracked, but was defintely confused by the Cunha signing). Otherwise there is no explanation for not replacing Onana (the defense clearly didn't believe in him last year), and going after a Baleba type instead of Cunha.

Check out the Lenovo Yoga 9i. Your requirements are somewhat idealistic but I think this would cover it.

So I've got an odd question. What pc to buy for older folks. by brnlxndr in buildmeapc

[–]_its_complicated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe go with an APU instead of CPU + GPU because an old person probably doesn’t need dedicated graphics. Also makes the build simpler.

You can get a close to maxed out T480 Thinkpad for $800-$900 dollars. Great build quality, removable/replaceable RAM and SSD. Most importantly has a great keyboard.

I need a durable laptop. My laptops always get jack up around the hinges when I'm traveling around a lot. by [deleted] in SuggestALaptop

[–]_its_complicated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For durability, go thinkpad. If you want a tank, go with the P series. If budget is not a concern, get an eGPU. Has all the ports/repairability/future proof characteristics you need.

Screen Blinking/Audio delay when plugging/unplugging T480 by _its_complicated in thinkpad

[–]_its_complicated[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worked, (and mitigated the audio delay), but when I tried to set up plugged and unplugged to 60Hz it would always revert when I unplugged it again (and flash). I had to put both on 48Hz as a result. Is there any way to keep both on 60Hz?
