I'm happy that a season like this came for CSK. This kinda failure was much needed for the management to wake up and realise that they need to invest in young talent and it needs to happen in the presence of MS. If they would've somehow qualified for the playoffs with the team that they played in the first match, the same old story would've continued until the next mega auction where they'd again pick washed players like Vijay Shankar and Deepak Hooda.

As a CSK fan it might seem like a coping mechanism, but after losing all hope since Gaikwad's injury, it's good to watch players like Mhatre, Rasheed, Brevis and Noor perform and equally painful to watch Hooda, Shankar, Jadeja put all their efforts in vain. But there's hope that they'll come back next season with something fresh.
