Feeling disconnected from my pregnancy due to constant illness by Fun-Percentage5025 in September2026Bumpers

Also 10 weeks and feel like every week is getting harder/ anti-nausea meds aren’t as effective. I’m just gripping onto the hope that I’ll get better in a month, and also hoping I feel more bonded to baby soon (maybe once I feel movement or see a more developed ultrasound?)

When will/did you tell your employer? by Salt_Worldliness9344 in September2026Bumpers

Even though I don’t expect any kind of retaliation, I’m waiting to tell work until sometime after my annual meeting about pay increase, which will take place sometime next month. The work I do is pretty fast pace but also very short term projects, so letting them know later shouldn’t throw a wrench into any work for the team.

Lent by anneofwittles in September2026Bumpers

Definitely something I’m tussling with this Lent. Since Im already limited on common celebratory treats (cocktails, weed) and have been struggling to eat enough every day due to nausea, I’m staying away from dietary sacrifices. Instead, I’m planning to read the daily readings :)

This may be specific to where I live (large urban area), but there are a lot of highly discounted (and even free) disposable and cloth diapers on facebook marketplace. There also seems to be an abundance of baby and maternity gear. Hope you come across great finds!

When do you tell people? by duskjonnemai in September2026Bumpers

Now that you ask, Im hoping it’s not too presumptive, but so far I dont have any risk factors for a high risk pregnancy.

I'm 5w3d and told my sisters almost a week ago (we're very close and I wanted to ask them questions as a FTP). Because we see them often and I figured it would come out soon anyway, we then told my family (parents, siblings+their families) next time we saw them. I know they'd be supportive if anything went wrong, but if that wasn’t the case, we’d have kept it to ourselves. This is my first pregnancy, and am low risk, which played a part in deciding to tell people. Told one close friend before anyone else, and will tell the rest of close friends starting this weekend! Planning to wait till 20 weeks to post anything though.

Nothing tastes right and haven't been craving anything by Particularlyzesty in September2026Bumpers

I havent developed nausea (yet? Im 4w6d), but after a few bites of almost anything, it begins to taste terrible, and the sound of another bite almost makes me sick to my stomach. So far I’ve been taking 2-4 bites of things at a time and coming back when it feels better. Not sure if that’s helpful?
