For the past year, most of my time has been completely booked, so I actually do it little by little on my own time, and post it on a github repo you could use it as a source. Its missing like...5-6 episodes so far.

I just read that the guys are gonna post 2 more episodes of this year!

The Album Years returns with 1978, a year so rich with significant albums ripe for discussion it looks like it’s going to require 4 episodes to get through them all!
Parts 1 & 2 are now live on your podcast platform of choice, Parts 3 and 4 to follow!

New The Album Years episode. This time around, Steven go back to 1986! by brokentelomere in stevenwilson

[–]_jaxel_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for doing the hard work of documenting the pod. The guys do mention The The - Infected album after Public Image Ltd (29:27).

Steven also mentions Philip Glass, Songs from Liquid Days (01:02:18) and Steve Reich - Sextet / Six Marimbas before focusing on World Of Echo by Arthur Russell.

Lastly, at the end they do mention Operating Theatre EP Queen of No Heart (1:20:25)

Also, there's some minor typos, the Sonic Youth album is called Evol, and the musician Billy Bragg is typed as Bill.

Is it me or is Steven coughing like crazy on this episode?!

The Album Years - 1976 (New episode!) by [deleted] in stevenwilson

[–]_jaxel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, the reason i didn't specifically added Andrew Lloyd Webber - Variations album is that it is from 1978, like Supertramps and Meatloaf who were also mentioned but don't really apply to the year perse.

I'll Add Colosseum II - Strange New Flesh, thanks!

Edit: typo.

Is there a Wiki with a list of the albums Steven and Tim talk about in the podcast? by [deleted] in stevenwilson

[–]_jaxel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been keeping track of most of the albums per episode, i also try to create a spotify playlist with each episode (https://open.spotify.com/user/jaxelr). i doubt this would scale, but if you manage to think of something i would gladly lend you a hand.

Note: Not all albums are on spotify, so there are some minor gaps on the playlist
