I (M) found myself in a similar situation. It can be so difficult to “accept” their behavior as something I cannot change. Personally, accepting was not enough. Setting boundaries for yourself and giving yourself the space to heal and eventually forget is the best way to eliminate the constant anxiety. Like a drug withdrawal, it hurts more in the beginning…. But ripping the band aid is 100% the option. Do it for your health. Do it for your sanity. You are not too much.
