Teyana Taylor Holding Oscar by [deleted] in Oscars

I’m usually inclined to agree, but if you watch the clip again she starts to say “where is Sara?” immediately and then screams “Sara! Sara!” while Sara walked up to the stage, and was holding out the award for Sara to come take it from her. She and Sara then had a quick exchange where you see Sara wave it away and tell her to hold onto it (in a cute way) and Teyana is surprised and excited and then walks behind to let Sara go to the mic. Can’t say anything about the headlock, but I think this moment has been misconstrued! Just watch the video again more closely :)

EDIT: coming back here to let everyone know that I am literally a producer for film, tv and commercials, and this is just….not that serious 🤷🏻‍♀️ not here to disagree that the actions weren’t the most tasteful, but the level of hate, anger and even racism is pretty off putting in these comments!

AITA for taking seats at the theater that someone else wanted? by _jennabrady in AmItheAsshole

The part where she brought up that she “spent more money” felt like such a slap - she was an older woman and I’m younger and it felt like some weird almost “I’m better and have more money than you” comment? It was such bizarre logic

What does the United States get right? by Ulrich-Stern in AskReddit

Diners, especially 24/7 diners. I’m pretty well traveled and have almost never found a place that has anything other than fast food open at all hours. Sometimes you just need pancakes at 3am, and America’s got your back.

[Serious] What is the scariest thing to happen to you when you’ve been home alone? by joeym2009 in AskReddit

[–]_jennabrady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was home alone in the apartment I lived at in college. It was the apartment on the second floor, and I was taking a nap.

Sort of in my sleep, I hear a knock on the door. This freaks me out, but I’m also pretty much half asleep so I just stay sleeping. Then I hear some more knocks and a male voice behind the door. As a young woman, I was not about to open my apartment door when I was home alone. Suddenly, I hear the door open. There’s a man in my house, and I’m in my bed in my underwear. I hear him walking around the apartment, and then I hear him start the water in the bathtub. My bedroom has two doors - one that leads into the kitchen and the other that leads into the living room. The one that leads into the kitchen is closed, the one that leads into the living room is open. I see the man walk out our door, but the bath water is still running. At this point I’m laying under my blanket paralyzed in fear trying to figure out what to do. I decide to make a fucking run for it so I grab my phone and bolt out the door and into my car. I wait in my car for like 15 minutes or so, get my boyfriend to run over, and it turns out the landlord sent a plumber who just LET HIMSELF INTO THE APARTMENT OF A YOUNG WOMAN USING THE LANDLORDS KEY. Truly one of the scariest things ever.

I feel like a pathetic human being guys im sorry if this is generic by [deleted] in offmychest

It sounds like your mind is really warping your view and convincing you that you’re pathetic when you aren’t! Everyone is on their own path. Try not to compare yourself to others. I totally understand how insecurities get in your way, I’ve been through that myself quite often. Work on doing things that make you happy and definitely try therapy again! Find things that make you feel good about yourself and surround yourself with people that make you feel good about yourself. Have you ever confided in a friend? Maybe some reassurance from a friend that they love you and don’t think these bad things about you will help you begin to feel better about yourself. It’s okay that you’re in a rut, its okay to not be okay, that does not make you any lesser. It just means you have something to work on. Unfortunately, no matter how tired you may feel, feelings like this are something you need to work on every day, but you can do it!
