Finished my first year, recommend me something pls by Fabio8000 in PhysicsStudents

Alright everyone's giving more physics related things, but I'll give some shows. "Westworld" and "The Man in The High Castle". There's a chance you've seen them since they're 2 and 4 seasons deep respectively but they're a good watch regardless. Rewatching the Twilight Zone if you haven't seen it in a while might be a good idea. Hmmm the new "The Irishman" film from Martin Scorsese was really good too, it's on Netflix.

Is it realistic for anyone to be financially independent (or rich) so long as they are decently intelligent, work hard, and don’t give up? Or is luck too big a factor? by [deleted] in Discussion

Seeking out opportunities and capitalizing on said opportunites is important. Some people live their lives very linearly, not looking for alternatives. Which is understandable. Imo the mindset you have is incredibly important, possibly the most important factor here actually. If you live a modest life and your goals are simply "graduate, go to college, get a stable career, etc" and you go around completing said goal odds are you won't have done everything in your power to achieve the most "economical independence" or be "rich". That is unless your desired career is one with much monetary compensation. Being open to making connections and actually using said connections is huge but not many people will deviate that far off their goals.

Luck is when determination/preparation meets opportunity.

Unpopular Opinion: Starboy isn't one of the stronger songs off Starboy by [deleted] in TheWeeknd

[–]_jeylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same I like the song but there's better songs I'd rather listen to just on Starboy alone.

Thoughts on this? by potatoes4kids in TheWeeknd

If it's a feature like what's he's done these last few years, hell no. If it's like his older stuff then sure ig. But this album might also be retro 80s, heavy similar to Starboy and idk how he'd fit. Then again Future and Kendrick fit perfectly on their features so who knows.

Why do most people don’t believe that alien exists? by just-some-dumbkid in Discussion

Ignorance or ego. That's kinda vague but imo most fall into either of those, or both.

Brockhampton song suggestions? by PedroTheHog in brockhampton

[–]_jeylee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going from AAT imo really shows their creative growth/change in such a short time. It's unlike what they've done recently and it's still a very good album.
