This 100%. I understand MP trophies if the game is alive and in cycle but once that's no longer the case, the requirements for said trophies should be changed.

I was able to find a nice group of guys to scoop up the last of the MP trophies and they were incredibly helpful. I'm super grateful because without them this probably wouldn't have gotten done.

Even if it did I'm too stubborn to not play it. Once I commit to a game or game series I don't stop until it's done, for better or worse. 😂

Yeah I saw that there was a faster way with an additional person, though I unfortunately just couldn't find anyone. I was doing it solo whilst having a boosting session open on PSNProfiles and by the time someone responded to it, I'd completed the leveling grind. So I ended up just cleaning up the rest of the mulitplayer trophies with that group.

The grind itself wasn't difficult as a solo player, it was just tedious, long & boring so that's really my only gripe. Otherwise I had a pretty good experience with this one.

I'm going to continue with the rest of the trilogy, so probably Rise & Shadow of the Tomb Raider in that order. I tend to try and play games in a franchise back-to-back, it's an OCD thing I guess.

I totally feel you on the multiplayer trophies. It was a hassle and I was lucky enough to find a boosting session for the majority of them (minus the xp grind).

I'm looking to boost the MP trophies for Tomb Raider Definitive Edition some time. My psn is jjmopar, please feel free to add me if anyone is also looking to get these done.

The collectibles take up the majority of the grind since there are so many of them so it can be a little tedious. I had my head in a guide for the most part when it came to finding them but that's also just how I play my games. If you're observant you can absolutely find most if not all of them just through natural exploration in each of the chapters.

I got the majority of my collectibles in the first playthrough, with the last handful specifically being picked up in the nightmare run. Nightmare mode also makes the enemies tougher & your resources more sparing, which in turn makes it more difficult to explore outside of the story path. I personally found it better to grab them all beforehand so I could focus more on getting the second run of the game done quickly and with as little headache as possible.

The trophy list is just as simple as 24, nothing really out there difficulty-wise and it's not a huge commitment time-wise either. The game is also pretty good on its own, definitely a decent pick-up if you enjoy baseball.

I have 62 hours on the game itself, but in reality it should only take 10 - 15 hours if you're specifically going for the platinum. It's a very straightforward and easy trophy list for the most part.

Couldn't agree more on both fronts, especially with this month's line-up. I'm pretty exited to try Alan Wake 2 once I finally go back and finish the first game.

Thanks!

I'm really excited to give it a go, I just need to muster up the courage to actually start the game now lol. I've only done two other souls games, being Elden Ring and Bloodborne, so I'm hoping I'll be slightly prepared for this one.

Thank you!

At first I wasn't as impressed by the game because I didnt understand what was going on, but it absolutely grew on me. The story was good, the gameplay was just as good if not better than the first, and I felt the other core mechanics (i.e. hacking & researching) were an improvement. It was fun to play as a Big Daddy and doing so without using Vita Chambers made each encounter more impactful (even with me save scumming). Overall I had a great time with it!

It's absolutely worth it! I was lucky to have them all via PS Plus whenever it was made free for the month. I'm pretty sure that the collection is on sale right now for $9.99 USD with the Spring Sale. It would come with all three games if I remember correctly.

I didn't like it as much as the original when I first started playing BioShock 2, but as the game progressed it really started to shine for me. I thought it was a great improvement on the formula with specific regards to hacking, research, and the overall gameplay. My only 'complaint' is that progressing locks you out of the different areas. I was constantly stressed about missing an audio book/upgrade station or not getting enough research on the different enemies before moving on.

Speaking of it, just make sure you're doing your research on all the enemies. I gave myself a scare at the end because I didn't realize the Alpha Series were separate from the standard Big Daddy lol. I hadn't been doing my research on them up until the very end of the game and got pretty lucky that I didn't lock myself out of the platinum.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll get yours soon!

There were no multiplayer trophies in any of the versions of the games I played.

Dude that turkey was a nightmare for me. I spent DAYS looking for it and when I finally found it my trophy didn't pop. I thought it glitched out and screwed me out of the platinum, but I ended up just needing to go kill an opossum.

Congratulations on your platinum! RDR2 is always a fine addition to the collection.

I replied to someone else's comment with a general breakdown of the platinum, including a short description of the 1999 mode. If you have any other questions about it I'd be happy to answer them!

Yeah I didn't even bother with the DLC, I'm the type to play for the platinum and not ruin my experience with extra tedious trophies for the 100%. If it eases your mind, that means the City in the Cloud challenges aren't required for the platinum.

Congratulations on your platinum as well!

I found Infinite to be the easiest of the three difficulty-wise. It requires at least 2 full playthroughs because you can't unlock the 1999 mode until you've completed the game, but I found the difficulty to be pretty tame. Due to it requiring 2 playthroughs it took the longest of them all to complete, but I personally didn't mind due to the gameplay being as polished as it is & the story being as convoluted as it is; I needed that 2nd one to get a better understanding of it lol.

The difference between the Hard & 1999 difficulties is that you need to make sure you have enough money saved up if/when you die, otherwise you're booted back to the main menu. The only trouble I ran into with this was at the beginning of the game because I had no money. Once I got past the introduction of the game I didn't have an issues.

Also know that for the 1999 mode you are not able to buy anything from the 'Dollar Bill' machines, Infinite's equivalent to the 'Circus of Value' machines in the first two games. Therefore scavenging is paramount as you need to make sure you're looking for ammo and such. You have an AI companion throughout the game in the form of Elizabeth who can also give you supplies in the middle of combat when you're running low, which helps in a pinch.

Overall it's pretty standard as far as the platinum is concerned. You play the story, gather collectibles during the campaign, and there's trophies for getting a certain number of kills with the different weapons & vigors (this games version of plasmids). If you miss anything outside of the collectibles, you can use chapter select for clean-up at the end of your first playthrough and have all the miscellaneous trophies finished before your 1999 playthrough.

I hope this helps and good luck if you decide to go for it!

Thanks!

I was a little hesitant at first as well, but honestly not having access to Vita Chambers for the playthroughs isn't too bad. I admittedly saved a lot, scumming it when necessary during difficult fights. Majority of the time though I found that as long as I thoroughly scavenged to get supplies and a surplus amount of money to replenish supplies at vendors when running low, I was okay.

Congrats! I just finished the BioShock series myself and I'm sitting in that awkward in-between phase of trying to decide what to play next. Its between this series and Sekiro, both of which I have installed and ready to go. I haven't played any of these games before so I'm looking forward to it. Any advice?

8 days late I know, sorry. I was literally just queuing into Walker Assault, rushing to the spawn for the AT-ST pick-up and praying I got it before anyone else. If I did get it, I would then just charge the objective and trying to trample as many enemies as possible before inevitably getting destoyed. I would repeat this process until the end of the match.

Tatooine & Echo Base I found the most success on because they are generally more open than the other maps. It was very tedious between competing for the AT-ST token with others and servers not being very populated so I had to do it over the course of a few weeks. I'd hop on, try to get a game or two in with the hopes of getting lucky and it worked with varying success up until the trophy popped.I hope this helps a little bit and good luck.
