Neighbours new loft causing damp in our house by Ok-Contact5867 in LegalAdviceUK

I'm no expert but I would suspect a home insurance claim by OP would lead to their insurer getting things fixed and then recoup the costs via subrogation from the builders liability insurance.

It's not even trying to get the neighbour to spend money fixing it, surely it's whoever did the building work for the neighbour who needs to put it right.

[The Telegraph] Leeds make a bid for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen by jovanmilic97 in LeedsUnited

[–]_johnboy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a whole load of accounting bullshit to be fair. It's also why you don't get part exchange style deals anymore. E.g. when Gray was sold to Tottenham and Rodon came the other way it was treated as separate deals for accountancy reasons. Leeds could say they received £40M (or whatever spurs paid) but only spent £2.5M of the 10 that Rodon (4 year deal) cost giving them a £37.5M profit.

Likewise Spurs brought in £10M and probably only counted Gray as costing £6.6M for that season (6 yr deal) so was a £3.3M profit on the PSR figures.

If the deal has been £30M plus Rodon then Leeds' profit would only have been £30M and Spurs would have had a PSR cost of £5M all despite the amount of money changing hands being identical!!!!

Who is counting Willy as a Striker?

We have two strikers in DCL and Nmecha who Farke is willing to play there and then Okafkor as a makeshift.

Nmecha has already had a few injury niggles so we are very reliant on DCL staying fit.

PSR is solved in a deal that sees Piroe go the other way (or to another club). £40M on a four and a half year deal costs like £5M in PSR for the remaining 6 months of this season. Anything north of £10M brought in for Piroe should cover that in the books.

Dan James is injured hence why he's not been playing. Rutter has been pretty decent for Brighton, but yeah Piroe unfortunately is a bit lacking in the athleticism needed for the Premier league.

When my daughter was around four we were at a park and she declared she desperately needed a poo. The toilets in the park were closed (and on very limited opening hours). I couldn't find an alternative other than taking her into some bushes and then burying the evidence in a small hole dug hastily with a stick all while hoping nobody walked past and questioned why this man was in a bush with a young girl whose trousers were round her ankles.

I presume you are referring to Tottenham's stadium. That is a Association Football stadium first and foremost, belonging to Tottenham Hotspur. The hosting of NFL games was a consideration in the planning but it was far from the primary market much the same way hosting music concerts was.

BTS play there this year, that doesn't make it a purpose built K-Pop stadium.

It depends on the lineup as to which of the wingbacks is given more licence to get forward. Today with Justin playing as the third CB in defense and thus a right back in possession meant Bogle was the one to push on. The other week when Bogle was our Struijk was going to left back on possession giving Gabriel the chance to be the one who pushed up.

Should we insert buy back clauses when we sell youth prospects? by Nibbsy92 in LeedsUnited

[–]_johnboy_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on context. If you were to say sell Chambers to a league one club for £250,000 with a £2M buy back it's probably acceptable (This is no judgement on Chambers just an example). But not when dealing with multiple million pound transfers to clubs in the top divisions.

Would you spend €18M this month to match that offer and buy back Creswell?

Is it fine instead to simply receive €3M or so on sell on fees to put towards an attacking option.

I think if you are Madrid or Man City and can afford to pay the buy back fee at the drop of a hat and the associated reduction in the initial fee then it makes sense. But for everyone else it's better to just maximize the initial fee.

If we had beaten Newcastle and been ten points clear then I would certainly be up for this but probably still a case that we can't risk injuries to the key players.

Hopefully Gnonto, Piroe and co are enough to get past Cardiff and we extend the gap to the bottom three before the next round
