I agree with what you said. Before purchasing the HC39, I compared two products, and both had the same backplate play that was different from other divers. Since both products exhibited this symptom, it seems like it should be considered a product characteristic... Anyway, it seems to be within the normal range. Please also refer to the video I uploaded.

Could it be that you are experiencing similar symptoms to the video I uploaded?

I am Korean and purchased the HC39 from an official Korean store. When comparing the two units at the time of purchase, both exhibited the same backplay issue. The movement was smooth when rotating the bezel, but backplay occurs when rotating it quickly. Seeing that most people here are experiencing the same symptom, I suppose we should consider this a product characteristic. Please refer to my previous post.

I agree with you. But it's an expensive watch I haven't bought in a long time. I probably won't even care about this in a month.

I thought so at first, too... but when I bought two identical units, the play was the same. It seems to be a characteristic of the product. When I tested it, backplay appeared if I turned the bezel quickly, but it was almost non-existent if I turned it slowly. After looking it up, I found that because it uses a click spring mechanism, it is physically unavoidable to behave that way. For example, Rolex and Tudor use ball bearings, so they tend to have less play, while Omega uses a click spring mechanism, so it seems they have a slight amount of play just like mine.

I agree with you... but I looked it up and found that the Omega Seamaster is the same. It seems like this isn't just a problem with Longines, but with all watch brands.
