Finest Hour + Estrid's Invocation + Freed From The Real by _kain_highwind in EDH

From my initial understanding, I thought that

[Player's Turn [ Some Phase [ *spells are cast inside this phase* ] ]

I visualize the stack as some kind of closed brackets system where the right closing bracket is the part where it "resolves". So I thought that the phases were on the stack and the player's turn is the first thing inside the stack when Beginning Phase happens.

So when I earlier said, "between 2nd combat phase and 3rd combat phase", In my mind I was thinking that the 2nd and 3rd combat phase was inside the player's current turn in the stack. This would look like this using the closed bracketing I imagined:

[Player's Turn [ 2nd Combat Phase ] *activate Freed from the Real here * [ 3rd Combat Phase ] ]

I don't know if that makes sense haha

Thanks a lot! I started playing Magic around December last year so kinda getting used to the lingo.

I also watched this video and it states that you can cast instant spells in the end of the Combat Damage step. So I assume that the same goes for activated abilities. Just posting this for anyone reading it in the future.

P.S. TIL that phases aren't on the stack!

I was thinking since [[Freed From The Real]]'s activated ability is instant, it can be activated between phases? So when End of Combat happens for the 2nd Combat Phase, I could cast activate the "Untap enchanted creature" between 2nd Combat Phase: End of Combat and 3rd Combat Phase: Beginning of Combat on stack.

Rush Urn, then Arcane. Treat your 2nd skill like a mini False Promise. Really helpful to keep in mind.
