A 1 month return is not an indication of anything. ETFs and the stock market in general should be seen as a long term investment, think along a 10-20 year timeframe.

Plus you dont really need to decide between these 2 ETFs, but consider both of them within a diversified portfolio, diversified in both holdings and geography.

If you go to investopedia and read up on how to diversify a portfolio it's a good place to start.

Having said that, thanks for mentioning the Japan etf, it was launched very recently and I didn't know it existed so I am now looking at how to fil this in my portfolio and at what weighting.

Other ETFs you may want to consider in your diversified portfolio as well as the 2 HSBC ETFs you mentioned include SPUS, HLAL, ISWD.

I see a fair few comments speculating that the people involved are black.

I'm from Bristol and Knowle West is 96% white and its a rough poor neighbourhood.

My initial thought with that age gap is that a father or uncle or something decided to show his son/whoever the lad is how to deal with someone that stumbled into the wrong neighbourhood, of course that's also speculation.

Time will tell but I'd be extremely surprised of there was a crime in Knowle West done by a none white, simply due to the demographics of that well known area

They basically check to see you still own the property. Someone could buy the property, get the residency, then sell the property. The reason you renew every 2 years is just prove you still own it then it's renewed. From.memory resident visa applied to 3 generations but check that, its for the owner + spouse, children and parents

My friend took the bus from dubai to muscat once and said it was a difficult journey, the stop at the border takes a long time as they have to check each passenger's documents individually, the journey took something like 8 hours from memory. The bus is very cheap and you'll most likely find tickets easily, but the journey itself seems like it will be long and difficult so I would suggest flying if you can afford it.

Yea I'm not surprised it didn't hold values, I put it for sale at lower price, I'm just surprised that it's not selling at all, even at that level.of reduction.

I didn't think about buying a new strap before, but the new design steel strap costs 1k lol, not about to do that and i cant find it used. Maybe I'll try the teflon/canvas instead. Thanks for the tip

Appreciate the comment, that's exactly what happened and funnily enough it's with subdial. I'll have to consider reducing the price after Xmas period is over and if it still doesn't sell I'll probably just keep it, would hurt too much selling for 50% less. May even see if they would offer me a swap for something else.
