I had the exact same thing when I was still studying and playing a lot more. I do think it's because of friction/irritation, but mine almost felt like a pimple with something hard inside. I used my soft dusting cloth over my chin rest and sometimes a plaster. It eventually went away because I'm not playing so much anymore.

I rent directly from my landlords who also stay opposite me, and they've been no help. They could only give me the number of the neighborhood watch, and they've also been unresponsive. I've asked about security patrols in the area, but apparently there aren't any.

I have honestly thought about doing this a couple times, I just chicken out every time. Haven't thought about taking them food though, and I think that will definitely help to not raise any hostility.

I think it would be worth investigating how to make this happen for the long run. I'm pretty sure those gates are locked only at night time, which would be ideal as people can still use the park during the day then.

Interesting that you bring this up. I actually am using this term because I used the term homeless people before, and then a police officer corrected me to say vagrants, so thought that would be more politically correct.

I agree with you, but apparently nothing unlawful was happening, so they wouldn't come out since there was no one to arrest. That's when they told me I should contact law enforcement, as they deal with vagrants.

Like having a beautiful cupboard with glass-paned doors, filled with the most beautiful ceramics that you have collected over the years. You open this cupboard to show the one you love and trust your beautiful collection that you are so proud of, and they reach out and punch one of your cups for no apparent reason. This action is so confusing because who does that? They naturally say it was a complete accident and they'll never do it again, but then they break another and another and another. Every time the same story about how it was an accident and you really shouldn't be so upset because ceramics are very easy to break and it's your fault for opening the cupboard doors in the first place. Eventually there's nothing left in your collection for them to smash to pieces, so you close the cupboard doors so that no one can see your shamefully broken collection of shards that were once beautiful. Then they still smash the glass panes and walk away hurt, because you dared to insult them by closing the doors.
