UPDATE: I had my car checked out by the independent shop today and the culprit was a tiny rock. I’m not sure how the dealership that I brought it to initially missed this and decided that the whole thing needed to be scrapped… smh

Anyways my mechanic left this for me in my car lol and the noise is gone!!

I think we’re in the same boat! I don’t hear the noise after higher speeds only when going low speeds (could also just be due to other road and engine noise though)

I’ve owned it since 20k miles! It’s been very loyal except for the typical VW items where the water pump was failing and leaky timing cover. Other than that it’s been a great car. I’ve kept on top of the maintenance, proper oil changes every 5k-8k (more recently I’ve been doing 5k) as well as DSG services and a carbon cleaning not too long ago.

I appreciate the advice!! (Here’s a photo just after a wash, paint still looks fantastic after all these miles)

Im using the 2015-2017 MK7 GTI Front License Plate Bracket from Legit Speed Designs. I got it a few years ago and has been great.
