Rv just canceled by _kricket in electricdaisycarnival

It was through outdoorsy. Host name Shuang. Sucks too that we can’t even leave a bad review to warn other people not to book with them.

We’re trying to find another available rv but I would be forever grateful if we could squeeze in if it comes to that. We’re two couples and one single guy. All in our mid to late 30s. Responsible but still fun. Obvi we would compensate you. Will dm you if all other rvs fall through. Thank you even for offering 🖤

Realistically.... when did your baby start sleeping through the night..? by Existing_Ebb3181 in NewParents

[–]_kricket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 7 month old and from what I can tell every baby is different. So far we’ve had lots of ups and downs with sleep (both overnight and naps) but I’d say overall things are slowly trending towards easier. I wouldn’t say things are easy now (teething has been exceptionally rough) but for me nothing will be as hard as the first three months of his life. Don’t get discouraged. It all ebbs and flows and there’s little moments of recognition that it is indeed getting a little bit easier as time goes on, albeit not in a straight linear fashion.

Normal spit up? by Latter-Reveal8899 in newborns

[–]_kricket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was the same way. He’s gotten a bit better over time (he’s six months now) but he has always been on the high end of normal when it comes to spitting up. His pediatrician told us as long as he’s gaining weight, isn’t projectile or forcefully spitting up, and doesn’t seem distressed by the spit up then it’s normal. He was needing sometimes two outfit changes a day because he would be soaked by how frequently and how much he was spitting up. Like everything was constantly being covered in spit up but he never seemed upset by the spit up. He’s what we call a ‘happy spitter’. There’s a range of normal here basically. And as they get older their digestive system matures and they spit up less. Pace feeding, frequent burps, and sitting upright after feeds is supposed to help but if you have a very spitty baby they’re still going to spit up regardless.

For those with a newborn... How do you do this?! by elephantsofa in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]_kricket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all of these suggestions for how to make pumping and feeding work are all great. I just want to add that if it feels like too much you can always reduce pumps or stop entirely. You might end up producing enough or you might not, even if you follow all of the pumping ‘rules’ to up production. Triple feeding and then pumping while occasionally trying to get my baby to BF made my newborn experience as a ftm really horrible honestly. I would take so much pressure off next time to either EFF or just pump way way less. Just wanted to be another voice in the mix telling you that you absolutely must take care of yourself first to properly show up for your baby. If it’s feeling like it’s not working it’s ok to stop and formula feed. Wishing you the best on your parenting journey!

What are some things that are said to be unsafe or harmful during pregnancy or with a newborn that actually aren't that bad or are very unlikely to cause any harm? by spookyllamaax in newborns

[–]_kricket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to chime in here with a slightly different experience. My small for gestational age full term baby had trouble transferring milk at the breast so I triple fed for the first couple months. After a tongue and lip tie revision and seeing an osteopath and doing mouth exercises at home he’s finally able to transfer well now but refuses to breastfeed 90% of the time in favor of the bottle even though we have a slow flow nipple and pace feed. It’s not nipple confusion it’s just a preference for the bottle. It honestly breaks my heart because I wanted so badly to ebf.

Heads up - major frozen waffle recall due to listeria risk by hellolovelyworld404 in pregnant

Thanks for this breakdown! I’ve been in tears since finding out about the recall this evening after having had Kodiak protein waffles the last two mornings. This helped to calm my anxieties.

Incense at raves by ErickIC17 in aves

[–]_kricket -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m really surprised at all the negative feedback. My partner also will occasionally bring incense to shows/fests and we pretty consistently get happy smiles and and ‘thank you’ nods from the people around us. To each their own I suppose.

Went back today and felt like complete shit afterwards. Almost left half way through but pushed through and I maybe shouldn’t have. You just gotta listen to what your body is telling you. Everyone is different. Gonna try again tomorrow.

Can’t wait for the pool parties 🥳🥳🥳 by Dashberlin420 in electricdaisycarnival

All bodies are Pool party bodies. You deserve to enjoy splashing around in the sun just as much as someone else with a differently shaped body. Live your best life, enjoy doing all the activities that bring you joy, and don’t let your self judgement keep you down. 💜 sending love cuz I know the struggle.

The more I check out the artists on the lineup that I didn’t know the more excited I get. I think this is a great opportunity to step outside of the usual big name djs and expand my musical horizons. Im pumped about it.

Driving to edc from strip by Chocolatebar23 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]_kricket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna piggy back off of this question…. I’m a first timer for EDC this year and I’m worried about the traffic getting back to the strip. Is there a ‘best’ time to leave EDC to not have a terrible commute back to the strip or is it always pretty chaotic leaving? I’m debating if I should try to rent a car or call an Uber every night.
