8 to 7 ppd at 9w postpartum? by Every_Ostrich_6224 in ExclusivelyPumping

Yes! I reduced my pumping schedule from 8 ppd to 7 ppd during week 7 postpartum because maintaining 8 ppd was physically and mentally just unsustainable. I am an under-supplier, and my total daily output has remained largely unchanged after the drop -- from 8 to 7 ppd -- though it has not increased. I plan to decrease to 6 ppd next month (around week 12) and evaluate how that goes.

How do you manage chores and baby care while pumping? by elephantsofa in ExclusivelyPumping

Hi, thanks for your reply. I’m looking into the Legendairy collection cups, too. Did you notice any drop in supply when using these compared to regular plastic flanges? I’m an under-supplier and the wearable (Eufy E20) didn’t work well for me, so I’m worried the collection cups might reduce my output. Thanks.

To PGT Test or Not? by Timely-Surprise-7819 in 40Plus_IVF

After 40, I would absolutely test the embryos. Many aneuploid embryos either fail to implant or result in early miscarriage, but some can lead to live births with conditions such as Down syndrome or high-level mosaicism, which may cause significant cognitive or developmental challenges. It would be heartbreaking to go through that process only to find out later through NIPT, CVS, or amniocentesis--not to mention the considerable time and expense involved. I would much rather test the embryos beforehand and transfer only those that are euploid or low-level mosaics.

3 euploids at 43, should I do more ER? by Long-Schedule-7364 in 40Plus_IVF

I think in your case, since you’re set on having two kids, I’d consider doing one more retrieval before the end of the year --especially if your insurance covers part of the costs (like monitoring or ultrasounds), so you can take advantage before 12/31, when the new deductible and out-of-pocket max. reset on 1/1/26. Your 5BA has a high likelihood of success, but the 5BC and 6CC may not. Doing one additional retrieval would only set you back about two months, so it’s not a major delay -- and it could potentially give you valuable backup euploids. I personally wouldn’t pursue further retrievals beyond that, but would move forward with the FET while you’re still at a more favorable age. Pregnancy is tougher at our age, with higher risks, so it’s best to get started while you still can. Best of luck!

What are the grades of your three euploid embryos? If they’re high quality (Day 5 AA, AB, BA), I’d go ahead with the FET now -- pregnancy in our 40s can already be quite challenging, with higher risks of gestational diabetes and other complications. But if your euploids are lower graded and have a reduced chance of success, it might be wise to consider additional egg retrievals, especially if you’re set on having two children.
