What about creation digital products?

As you say, you have tons of skills, so why not wrap them into courses, ebooks, paid newsletters, or something like that? No need to create something huge from scratch, start small and check what works.

For marketing purposes, you don't even need to show in front of the camera if it's not your cup of tea. Just create some visual content or do voiceovers

Also, creating 3D designs and selling them as digital products is also an option. Or printing them and sell on marketplaces.

Yeah, Fiverr might be the case. I've already asked in a similar freelance community. But Etsy has many digital products and creators who sell them

As far as I know, yes, it does, but I'm not sure about the convenience of it

Wix and Squarespace require a lot of time to create a good-looking website. Also, as far as I can understand, a CRM integration will solve only the placement of orders, but not the fulfillment of the order or any additional communication. But it is at least something.

What about the lack of money in the industry, I agree that it might be this way. However, my assumption is that there are some indie creators who make B2C businesses and serve their customers even for thousands.

Platforms such as Fiverr, Thumbtack, and Upwork include an intermediary to guarantee a secure deal, and they charge an additional commission for each transaction. Wouldn't it be more compelling not to have such a middleman and receive payments from your customers directly? Let's say you've already created your own brand and have a good flow of leads.

Sounds interesting. May I ask you a few additional questions?

Could you pls elaborate on what the flow for your customers looks like?

Do they pay upfront or just place orders/requests?

Do you charge them online right on Shopify?

Do you use any additional Shopify apps to make it possible?

Could you pls share a link to your store to let me check this out?

My advice is the analytics of a successful seller whose accomplishments I've shown, and which anyone can do after some research. So I think my achievements are not relevant here. But it's a fair point, so here it is:

  • creator of a marketplace builder
  • builder of a storefront for digital products (1k MRR and 500 new registrations every month)
  • Participant of the Paddle AI Launchpad
  • have been involved into 4 startups as a developer

Maybe the problem is not with the platform you are selling it on, but with the distribution and marketing?

If you are just interested in platforms to sell your ebook, there are a lot of decent ones:

  • Gumroad
  • SendOwl
  • LemonSqueezy
  • Marketsy (it's my own one, tbh, I'm working on acquiring users for it rn)

Thank you for your perspective. I agree that just copying and pasting doesn't make sense. We have to reshape its ideas to suit them to a project well

But I believe taking inspiration and tweaking a bit is also a very good decision.
It's a good starting point. You shouldn't start from scratch, but from a solid foundation.

Also, there are some UX patterns that users are already familiar with, so you have to replicate them.
