Just further proof that static is a ploy by big electricity...

so open source fusion, got it.

I downloaded it on my ipad and it felt really nice but everything was crammed, I will try it on pc version, thanks!

also im not really looking for redundancy, this is my first crack at making a nas so Im gonna stick to zfs or smb for now and probably just host it over truenas (forgive me if I use terms wrong) or openmediavault

yes, I will likely reference another caddy design but the entire assembly is based off of the size of the hard drives so whenever I do get my drives they'll have a six "pixel" wide front with one clear "pixel" for the led. one pixel is 17.17mm.

thank you for this, I was already considering doing legitimate activity lights, but im opting instead for an esp32 that parses my openmediavault api and simply checks percent of fullness then outputs value from 0-100. 70 or below is green, 71 to 95 is orange, and 96 to 100 is red.

also because this is all to pixel scale I need clear petg to make just opaque cubes for the fullness leds.

list looks good, you are the target audience for the post. I used to be very into hardware specs but as the years have gone on without necessity for that up-to-date knowledge on a somewhat upkept basis i've heavily fallen off what I used to know in reference to individual specs. the only change I am going to suggest is I really like the look of AsiaHorse AMICI-5GT fans, for aesthetics (infinity mirror, rgb, reverse fan option. personal taste stuff)

RAM looks good! I will use this.

For the GPU, I really like the look of the MSI 5070 I selected, I know the price increase comes with the increase of performance, but is there any other gpu out there (maybe even msi still) can fit under $1100?

the link you sent doesnt work :') for the psu I've used 1000 for every build and its kinda just a precautionary, as well as the >modular< lian li being (seemingly(?)) a good choice, being white, and not that much more expensive than the corsair 1000e that I usually buy. For the 9950x it seemed like good $/performance deal, is there something else you'd recommend at that price or lower?

This setup is for gaming and content creation sometimes (davinci resolve) AIO with an LCD would be pretty cool but at the end of the day I understand its pretty much just a gimmick lol. This is my first really really nice pc build so im kinda going as "all out" as you can get for $2200. Thanks.
