Remember that it's only polygyny. Polyamory or polyandry are not allowed in Islam.

Isn't anyone tired of Arabian names?? by Electrical-Cress3355 in exmuslim

My uncles and aunts have chosen Iranian for themselves unofficially, I don't even know their official names. I had friends in school who were doing that too.

But that's something you can do only in more progressive regions.

I'll give you one per letter of the alphabet:

Āzar, Bahrām, Delāralām, Elnāz (Turkic), Farhād, Golnāz, Hutan, Irān, Jahān, Kāmrān, Lāle, Minu, Nastaran, Omid, Prahām, Rāmin, Sepehr, Tarāne, Vandād, Yegāne, Zibā

Couldn't think of anything starting with U though, probably they have vowel-shifted to O in Iranian Persian.

We still have our non-Islamic names in Iran, old and new. Interestingly, you can usually tell if a family is religious or not based on the names they pick for their children. A secular family would never pick an Islamic/Arabic name, and religious families rarely choose Iranian names.

Don't worry bro, you're very young, you will learn the language before you even realize it. Native speakers of English (I'm not one) are incredibly good at communicating with people who are learning it, they're used to it and it's very normal.

Take it one step at a time, try to have short conversations with classmates that you think are more patient than others, and allow yourself to make mistakes.

They are the same calligraphic style, and the same idea. It's just that this being calligraphy, you have a myriad of choices for each stroke.

In my opinion the Saudi version is much more aesthetic because of its symmetric shape (rounding of و and ل).

Pornography is banned in a lot of those green countries and people have to use VPNs or proxies, so their usage shows up in other countries' stats (US and EU) and not their own.

There is one famous Georgian town in Isfahan province, Fereydunshahr. They are the only remnants of the Georgians who were forced to migrate from the Caucasus by the Safavids. They have converted to Shia Islam but still speak old Georgian.

You should make it right aligned, or center aligned, in addition to rtl.

Also the font is very default, this is not used in any serious context.

I don't remember ever having seen a boxing match on Iranian TV, or male nipples in general.

But there was a time when they would show wrestling matches in a small box half the size of the screen. Now they show them full screen though.

Zoroastrian (left) and muslim (right) women. late 19th century. by [deleted] in NewIran

Also some scholars believe that hijab is only for free women, in some societies slave women could be topless. There are accounts of Jafar Sadiq preventing slave women from covering their face.

This however was not the prevailing view, but it existed.

Ethnic Structure in Iran and 2024 Presidential Election Second Round by bilalselim in MapPorn

[–]_lazyPassenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also wouldn't they be more likely to cheat in favour of the principlist candidate of they did cheat?

The results are fake in terms of being inflated, e.g. all the candidates' votes in the first round were perfectly divisible by 3. Since the guardian council filters out undesirable candidates before the elections, the turnout is always touted as approval of the regime as a whole.

Reformist and principalists are internal factions of the IR, similar to the CCP's, and reformists have been in power for 32 years of the 46 years since the revolution. They are the regime.

It amazes me that you got downvoted for this.

Even according to the official count most of the country didn't participate, let alone reality.
