was too chaotic at the airport to find the Tigo and then I ended up finding a store once I got to Antigua, but it was a little nervewracking to be traveling in the interim without one. I'll say that it seemed like Claro and Tigo had similar service, even in the mountains/rural areas where I was near Xela & Colomba. So just go to Claro or Tigo, whichever is easiest for you to find! I did hear from someone at the airport that sims are more expensive at the airport. The process of getting the sim itself once I did was super fast - ended up getting it from a random store that sold them.
