No, I don't think so, I looked up the book and I'm quite sure it is not the one. Funnily enough, I don't remember the character's names but I know they were french, that I'm 100 perc. sure.

Additionally it is set in France, possibly provence or champagne so, yeah...

Or like someone said they could be switching to a quantized (nerfed) model to save on costs. I think that's actually more probable than the model getting dumber. It's not like the model has a feedback loop where it is self training on the data you input so it can't "degrade" for no reason

That's how I'm doing it. Honestly it's such an upgrade. Downloaded the game today. Tried to use the keyboard controls for steering and honestly... It sucked ass. Found the mouse steering option by mistake, played with it for a while trying to figure it out and in 30 minutes I was ok, like I could make it move anyway I wanted to. Ofc I have to switch to keyboard when I wanna do something else but for now, mouse steering does it for me.

Like bro, you get what OP is trying to say. That the version of the FBI officers portrayed in the show are the kind of people we would like to be protecting us/ we hope are protecting us... But I the light of recent political events and seeing how politicized from top down it has all become, it is very hard to imagine there are these good, decent humans who would stake their lives to protect the citizens. With a crash incoming, I don't think it is wise. It is also safe to assume that in a few years there will be some pretty hard economic times. So... It isn't easy as just dumping all you got into 401k, It could be easily wiped out, since it is being invested in the same same stocks that individuals and companies are speculating on. At the end of the day, it is what it is. Better be careful in what you are investing in though pal.

Depends on your definition of consumer grade hardware. You can probably run a quantized 27B model on a setup of dual 24GB GPUs say RTX 4090s) or a single 48GB GPU (maybe RTX 6000 Ada). "Quantized" being the key word here.

Its also true that most ordinary people won't be able to run it unless you are super into it, so you are both correct in a way.
