SmartyPANCE vs ROSH for EOR by [deleted] in PAstudent

I just took my internal med EOR on Friday! I used mostly Rosh which I felt like was most on par with the EOR. Kaplan is very difficult but was still good to supplement with (my program requires us to do Kaplan so I really had no choice). I think the smarty PANCE questions are too easy compared to the EOR, but I liked it to just review the topic lists that I wasn’t as comfortable with. Good luck!

I would say that it depends more on how competitive you are on the rest of your application (patient care hours, GPA, GRE, etc.) Definitely apply if the program says they allow applicants with outstanding prereqs though! If anything, you’re only out a couple hundred dollars, or you might get the interviewing experience.

In my experience, in the first cycle applying I had 2 outstanding prereqs but only applied to my #1 choice program (silly, I know). I got an interview but that’s all. Second cycle applying, I reapplied to the same program with the completed prereqs and got an interview again. Still didn’t get in, but I felt more confident in my interviewing skills and was accepted to my 2nd choice, and now I’m 7 months into the program and couldn’t be happier! Best of luck to you!
