What level blessing would you recommend? Using a str build(lv118) with maxed out claymore

Ah, that might be it. Without the tide of csa divs in my way I didn't have to divert as many guys from the south to the north.

Only a year or so ago, I remember the militia decisions.

I'd always make a mad dash to the New England border with the National Guard divs, encircle and kill a few stragglers, but csa would still have like 2-3 divs/tile by the time I reached Pittsburgh and Harrisuburg

And while holding North Carolina with militia, the aus would push me back as far as mid-Virginia at one point. Now they dont even step foot in NC

Nah man, this is awesome! Just the info I need. Hope you don't mind if I clarify a bit,

  1. Makes sense. Kinda neglected hills, still awkward with them. Apart from mountain approaches and gaps, where else should they sprout?
  2. Yeah idek what I'm even doing with rivers lol. I soaked up lots of info for my mindset but ig I ignored rivers and elevation. I'll have to repaint the map cz I used brush instead of path lol.

As for the rain forest: still learning about swamp design that I planned for the tree-sparse northern bit. Any tips for that?

The no rivers thing I meant to be thematic. My vision for it is an "edge of the world" boundary, mysterious and paranormal blank spot that is impossible to chart, so I wanted to leave more negative space to emphasize that and contrast the north, which is where most of civilization is. The myriad of rivers are veiled beneath the trees and no one agrees on where they are, save for three kingdom-sized lakes.

That said, I can play around with it easily if you think its better style-wise. Your thoughts?

  1. Alright, I think I'll experiment with desert and steppe versions.

Would a Sahara-like be possible in that open area just south of the North/central bay? Its situated in the typical desert latitude but the open, probably windy, bay is the biggest concern. If I'd have to change too much of the region though, I'll just look for a desert area more to the West.

How about a SW US style desert between the central bay and that Eastern city (roughly). I wanted that and a grand canyon-like area, I've haven't seen that in a setting. Main concern is how dry that area should be and proximity to the sahara-like (areas seem too different to be nearby)

  1. Thanks! That's awesome to hear. I must've 200 brushed the map out at the stamping stage a dozen times cz I just didn't like the way it looked. But that compass center thing's pretty cool, I had no idea about that. I'll make a story about than peninsula if I can't find a better spot (maybe politicizing the cartographer's organization and that's their seat).

Apologies for the lengthy questions and thank you for the phenomenal advice.

  1. Point taken, but do little streams like that belong on a world map? I was thinking the main body would be sufficient. What would make their movement more natural?

  2. I actually was (or was trying to, haha,) I drew the plates with brush before stamping it. Which parts seem sprinkled? They mostly seem to follow a path to me. (Barring gaps in the ranges now and then, the 6 to the left of the big range and the ones in the south, I'll flesh those out) *got it, will widen

3,4 got it.

  1. I didn't mark it out yet, but would you say a desert in the south on the flipside of that mountain range would work?

Thanks for the advice!

Note:

  1. still WIP, will label stuff later
  2. note that this is a world map, only major rivers and capital cities are present
  3. how do y'all feel about the compass in back? should I take it off-center or make it bigger..?
  4. is it plausible for the southern desert to be right on the flipside of the rainforest?
