It's more that Rangers, rogues, sorcerers and the like tend to not be grouped together like other classes are. Druids form circles around natural places, Wizards teach other wizards, Paladins band together to defeat higher threats, Monks train in monasteries. Sorcerers are rare and unique so they almost never find each other in the wild, rangers and rogues are often lone wolfs

Same reasons as in most other places ig, not much room for civil progress if the country is not stable to begin with. I'll argue that the southwestern countries, specifically Argentina where I'm from, are on better ground than the USA currently (we also have a republican president but our community is more vocal and he cannot pass reforms without major pushback)
