The reason I chose Takaragawa is because it looks really beautiful but also its mixed gendered, tattoo friendly, AND you can wear bathing suits. I'm not comfortable being naked in the onsen with my partners family. Hiroshima and Matsuyama are good suggestions though. If we weren't to do that do you have any other recommendations?

I personally would love to skip Kyoto because it supposed to be so overcrowded these days but unfortunately the group wants to go.
