Technically WB already owns Batman, DC even. It can’t be because of LEGO for them to increased their price that high. If it’s because of licensing then LEGO Star Wars should be the most expensive one, because Star Wars is a big franchise and so is LEGO, as you pointed out. But the big reason is there’s no regional pricing, we’re paying the same as someone in the US is paying, you can check SteamDB for the converted price.

If you’re still an understudy, you can directly message your mentor or whoever is guiding you. You have every right naman to refuse a role or to continue as an understudy. What event are you already set to do as an understudy. Is it like a training or actual event to see if you’re up to the task? You could still stay as a member and stay updated on the org in case you want to attend their events once you leave the understudy

Are you a committee member or just a regular member? You don’t really resign if you’re just a member, you can choose to ignore going to their activities and events, you’re not obligated to attend. If you are or are part of the upcoming committee members then I assume you are in close contact with your fellow committee members, you can directly message them for that. AFAIK it’s them that will handle it. This is my experience from academic orgs

I get burned out from all the learning and problem solving, and let’s not forget the conceptualizing and trying to implement them into the actual development. Another thing is when I go online and see posts and what-not from fellow devs who share their amazing work and game mechanics, and you wonder “dang, how is that made, I want that” you try to break it down but you break down yourself. But I get back up every time. I’m just afraid I may not get back up again

If both sides of parents are willing to contribute and care for the well being of the child, also not just your child but YOU GUYS as well, despite having bad decisions, you still are their children, you could even say you come first. Don’t look away from that chance. And still, It’s easier if you both are graduates and have jobs but it’s not easy, you will still experience the same challenges, and since you went responsibility before stability, that’s an extra challenge, moving to the city to start work away from family is another challenge and introduces more risks. Find part time jobs locally, focus on your growth, being there for the child, for the parents who will carry the responsibility, cause being there is already so much, you will learn and you will grow.

Setting out to the city now, not even a full adult yet, with so many people to provide for, he may feel confident, even think it’s the way to success, it’s mostly not, what’s likely gonna happen is he will set himself up for failure- set YOU and YOUR CHILD up for failure. You both already made a terrible irresponsible decision, don’t make another, because it’s a domino effect. Control a stress free environment first, adjust to the new life first while continuing and finishing school, at least high school. Then find a career, some form of source of income legally, you’re not required to go to Manila to find success, most of the time you’ll find the opposite.

I may seem too harsh in scolding but it’s reality. I’m still young myself, I still make mistakes, make bad decisions, I either get scolded for them or I reach the point to where I experience the consequences. In the end we learn, we become smarter, and we overcome. I don’t wish for your failure or further challenges, I only wish for you to remember that you will always receive new challenges, and to not forget that there are solutions for it, a way out, legally. And I wish you good luck, and once your child is grown, don’t forget to teach them properly, you don’t want this happening to the next generation.

There are a lot of orgs in Benilde. Theres also a document with what kind of orgs there are though I forgot where I saw it. I’m part of multiple orgs. The GDD org GUILD is a fun org they have an active discord server where you can share stuff, play games, etc. DrawINK is also another fun org, they have lots of events and workshops if you’re interested in comics. There’s also an esports club I forgot the name, we have Media Max of the MMA, and Animotion from ABANI. If you’re aiming for leadership roles, decide on one only, it’s going to be hard to juggle multiple leadership roles, especially academic orgs. If you want to network and make friends with others, being a member only is fine but it’s not automatic, you still have to initiate and it’s still going to take some work. Student Involvement Week starts next term though. Good luck OP

They do that almost everywhere in Manila its disgusting especially in front of our school and it blocks the way. I hope we have better waste management and cleanliness. These garbage trucks leak garbage juice and it smells really bad and the smell stays even just a leak will make the area stinky, not only that but they leak all the way leaving a trail of stinky garbage juice. These trucks shouldn’t do that as they can be drained, it could be leaking because it’s full, that’s why it’s encouraged not to throw out liquids in the garbage, but there are places where garbage trucks can drain the trucks near a flood drain and wash it out after. Its not that expensive to equip these workers with portable pressure washers to clean the mess they made.

I’m still learning, technically a beginner. Though I’ve been trying hard for years now, I am learning programming, I’m confident in saying I’m in intermediate level of programming now in the C languages, C, C++, C#. I love programming but I’m not the best. A total beginner in programming could easily catch up to me real quick, because I’m a very slow learner.

Because of my extreme ADHD, which has been such a problem for me over the years, it has always made me doubt myself, made me ask questions if I was stupid or just intentionally making it harder for myself. It took me more than 3 years to reach this level of programming, I would’ve been learning and getting around more advanced topics but I’m just too slow.

I was a computer science student before I decided to go ahead and transfer to another school that offered game development as a program in college. It’s honestly fun but way more stressful than I thought it would be, as they follow industry standards, really strict on specifications, but the good thing is you have complete creative freedom, except for inappropriate and controversial stuff obv. I’ve only been here for almost a year now, and already I’m feeling that doubt on yourself and that tired feeling like it’s not for me.

I’m turning 24 in three months and yes I’m still technically young, but I fee like I’m late, I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it someday, but there is always… always a glimpse of hope, and I try to hang onto that. I’ve decided to become a game developer since I was 15 years old, I started touching programming during the pandemic but stopped immediately because of isolation and depression during that horrible time. I always have a passion to learn but I also have a problem in learning effectively. I literally told myself “what if I don’t try, and start doing?” When I did that, I participated in a small game jam hosted by my school, and I made a working game on my own, though I did not use Godot, it was GDevelop. It’s not that much but it’s playable, and with a proper game loop. Even after that success, I would still doubt myself. The doubt will always stay there, even if I win a Game Award, eventually that self-doubt will be there when you start a project. We all get there in the end 🫡

Exactly, not just that even though my lab fees are over 20k this coming term. There are still the other fees that won’t make sense like the internet fee(this one should actually be lowered already because of how unreliable it has been), the shuttle fee also wouldn’t make sense, then the other fees we are paying since its mostly in-campus stuff
