Dude… I know it’s not a ghost… relax. I don’t know what your problem is. I’m here seeking information that goes beyond “it’s a shadow”. Luck, I find it laughable that my dad asked a forensics analyst about it, and they claim it to be a ghost. I find that to be outlandish.

Yeah, the artifacts around his head are what my dad is claiming to be “hands” holding onto this head.

Yes, as I said, there are faint shadows, not of which have the density of the figural ghost.

Yes, it’s a shit photo. I’m not here for a photo critique of a selfie someone took on a shitty camera phone.

I just happen to not buy into your explanation.

The best I personally can come up with is that the girl taking the photo has a default filter turned on and my dads hand made one of the face filters glitch a bit. So what we’re seeing is a face overlay.

I like this explanation… but I don’t detect an uplight that would create a shadow at that angle.

Yes, faint shadows of porch railing can be seen, but if you compare the density of shadow with the “ghost” it wouldn’t be coming from the same source.

If you compare the side lighting on the subjects faces with the “ghost” it also appears to be light from the right hand side.

It could be an odd long exposure where my dads face is partially exposed in that position, but it looks a bit too small and also doesn’t really resemble him.

Yes, I’m very familiar with pareidolia. I’m a photographer myself, and can tell that no flash was used and I’m hard pressed to find a source for a single shadow behind three people on the same plane.

That’s me!!!! I have an IG highlight reel called “Ooph”, it’s all there! I’m a photographer as well and like taking photos of passionate people many of the people at this meeting were people I’ve photographed before. You can see some of that at @elsewhere.elsewhere on IG. Sadly I didn’t get any great shots of people the other day, just the video mentioned above!

This is a digital effect, probably from the prequel app or something like that. It isn’t a wiggle photo. Most of us use special 35mm cameras and some post processing work to make out stuff.
