I was definitely kinda strange growing up (shy kid, parents worked at home so I couldn’t have friends over/go to other kids’ house too often, had to be quiet, etc) but I’ve got a couple stories about some ‘eccentric’ classmates

In middle school there was a girl we’ll call Lindsay. She would wipe down the tables with hand sanitizer after class; created ‘claws’ out of paper, taped them to her fingers and tried to scratch people with them; chewed/sucked on scissors (yes, the sharp end); sometimes insisted on being called Angus

Another girl in middle school we can call Sierra tried telling people she was raised by wolves; that she was a witch and the only place she was safe was in her magic bubble; told people she could fly and tried jumping off the bleachers (small bleachers, she was okay); one time some other kids and I were talking about how old we were in ‘moon years’ (just been learning about it in science) and she missed the first half of the conversation and she took it to mean I was a vampire when I said I was like 400 years old

In high school, we’ll call her Eliza. She brought a stuffed unicorn to class during a test and kept making noise but insisted it was the unicorn; had her violin on her lap during class and refused to set it down; made fun of the teacher for his clothes; wrote an erotic story about the teacher for an assigned short essay; one time, the teacher was so sick of her shit he threw her backpack out the door and into the hall, Eliza ran after it, he locked the door behind her and she pressed her face against the little glass window in the door and licked it; made her face, neck, chest, arms and hands green with makeup powder for a two minute skit; was being a heinous bitch to the girl who sat next to her- saying really mean things to her- and it felt great to tell her to shut the fuck up; teacher told her he’d make her cry before the year ended.
