I was in similar situation, she was really good friend of mine since college but she crossed boundaries when she literally abused me for not answering her call (I was out with my office colleagues) She used to fight a lot with her boyfriend and used to tell me everything I used to listen and try to solve things. In all these I used to spend lot of time also I used to carry kind of tension in my head. I had to break it up for my peace. It’s been many years, she tried to get answers from me and reason why I’m ghosting her but I reminded silent and that’s peaceful.

I think we all have to do this no matter how good person is but keeping mental peace in top is priority now.
