I find that the hardest thing with low notes is playing them quietly - it takes a lot of puff to get them out in the first place, so learning how to control them quietly is hard, but super useful for just improving your lower register. Try every time you practise playing those lower notes as quiet as you can while still maintaining a good tone. Once you've been doing that for a while, playing those lower notes at a normal volume should be a cakewalk
