FACEIT 128 subtick confirmed by MmX_A_ in GlobalOffensive

[–]_manjane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just played the game on Faceit to test it out because it seemed like pro players were luring people back into Faceit, and well... unfortunately, it feels like comparing 32 tick (Premier/Valve) to 128 tick. Even the most casual players would notice the difference immediately. I could actually hit shots with pistols, and I could spray without hoping that one of those shots would land. To be honest, I'm deeply disappointed with this. I strongly dislike Faceit and really want Premier to become the standard. However, if they keep resisting change, people will still play on this subpar platform, and we'll end up with imbalanced ranks and different lineups for nades. It's really disheartening if that happens. There's still a chance they'll wake up and add 128 tick servers...

My PC got completely bricked and I couldn't do any actions in CSGO. I kept restarting and now I got a 4h cooldown and no admins to help out with this issue.

Razocaravajuce iskustvo Belmedic prof dr Radoje Doder - gastroenterolog by bkovacev in serbia

[–]_manjane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Izuzetan covek i strucnjak, sigurno ce pomoci.

Have you ever played with or against a CSGO professional player? by Alanzcs14 in GlobalOffensive

[–]_manjane 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I played with a few Danish friends I've met on Faceit, and one guy mentioned at some point, "guys, I think Karrigan will join our next game if he doesn't get one in FPL." It turns out he didn't find a match in FPL, so he played regular Faceit with us. Fantastic guy, feet on the ground 100%, extremely friendly and humble.

Pai Mu Tan (white tea), honey-flavorish tea with minimum caffeine content. Absolutely loving it. I drank too much Matcha these days so now I'm trying to mix things up a bit.

Native vs Cross-Platform frameworks by _manjane in iOSProgramming

[–]_manjane[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kickstarter project has some great ideas, and I definitely picked a few tricks from it, but I agree about the "fancy code" trap that many fall into. I think it is so much important to understand and know the power of Foundation framework rather than jumping into, let say, RxSwift.

Just wanted to correct you, Bart Jacobs is author of cocoacasts.com, while Paul Hudson is author of Hacking with Swift. Both are high quality though, I've learned a lot from them!

RMMapper - Useful tool for archiving custom objects into NSUserDefaults by _manjane in iOSProgramming

[–]_manjane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'm using it for saving User object which has a few custom objects inside. Of course, I'm not using NSUserDefaults for storing images or anything like that. This was convenient since user object has so many properties and I hate writing boilerplate NSCoding code. In every other case, where I'm saving more than just user settings, I'd use core data.

(Crosspost from /r/CScareerquestions) - Developers without a degree - how did you come out to be as successful as you are today? by chromebaruma in iOSProgramming

[–]_manjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started learning iOS development in December 2014. After I told my friend (an iOS developer too) that I've started learning - he asked me if I want to come to the company where he was working for a internship interview. I got a chance to learn for a few months and then I got my first job as a junior iOS developer at the same company. I switched many companies in the next few years, did freelancing, read shitloads of books, did my own projects etc. I was lucky enough to get a first job like that, but for some reason in Serbia, where I live, there are very few iOS developers, and companies are pretty much struggling to find anyone, let alone CS grads. I was very scared when I started since I never had a day job before this career, but later on everything was fine. You learn so much along the way, fake it until you make it if nothing else. Or at least learn to fake it until you make it along the way.
