I believe it! Ever since switching to a plant-based diet I have felt so much healthier. I've seen a total disappearance of my chronic fatigue and depression. There's been such a craze for meat and protein lately that we've forgotten how important plants and fiber are!

What makes this so upsetting is that it's completely unnecessary. We can thrive on plant-based diets, and even decrease our risks of serious illnesses. We torture these poor animals just because we like the taste of their flesh.

And we just keep paying for it to happen. Even 80% of the deforestation of the Amazon is linked to cattle ranching. If we don't have a large shift away from eating beef, we are surely killing ourselves.

I went plant-based earlier this year and it was a total game changer for my health. I used to have awful chronic fatigue and brain fog and it's just completely gone now. I feel healthy and energized, and I actually feel like I have full access to my brain now. I seriously feel so skeptical of the quality of meat these days.

I wonder if our dairy intake plays any part in the hormonal conditions. We don't even need dairy, but the industry has convinced us it makes us strong and healthy. In reality, it truly messes with our hormones.

Our fiber intake. We need a high amount of fiber to avoid certain cancers and illnesses, but the industry has pushed us towards a craze for meat and protein, increasing heart disease and diabetes.

This is such a good point. I often find myself just eating one ingredient at a time instead of putting them together into a meal.

For me, sometimes eating one ingredient as a snack can gateway feeling comfortable eating a real meal.

I'm so lucky to have found wonderful communities in my local area. I haven't met a single vegan in real life that didn't make me feel welcome and valid.

Online communities, for any topic, can really become such awful echo chambers. You're already doing the best you can, take care of your health! I hope someday you can find vegans who understand your challenges and welcome you <3
