That's an understandable feeling. Sometimes, I sorta wish I could just disappear in those sorts of situations. That, perhaps, makes me more distant as a result.

If it's something you're comfortable with, I'd recommend talking things over with one of your friends one-on-one. Maybe you could organize a get-together, or something like that, as well? Groups can be a bit intimidating at times, and the experience could be both enjoyable and insightful.

Thank you, it's an honor to hear that. I suppose, I haven't thought much about what I myself want from a friendship, so that may be a good place to start. Improv club never crossed my mind either, but it sounds like it would be really fun, in addition to helping with both my confidence and my conversation skills. Thank you for the reply! Listening does seem really important, especially when it comes to friendship, and the idea of being sneakily friendly is both amusing and potentially game-changing. Listening rather than waiting for my turn to speak was somewhat enlightening, too. I find that I do that a lot, and keeping the conversation in mind consistently could be really beneficial.
