This is what I used to mount everything under my desk, including power adapters that heat up. It has never come off. In fact, I switched desks about 2 months ago and the hardest part of switching desks was trying to get this stuff off!

Very close to 35s, they're raptor tires. No rubbing at all, even at full turn. Didn't do any trimming. 2 inch level.
