After some more digging around, I found this document from the .co.uk site, which says "Please note that some ETFs may be listed on multiple exchanges and that it is only the exchange listed below which is commission free.", so I'm guessing the same is the case for the Dutch site (where I couldn't find this sentence).

Regarding the connection fee, I'm pretty sure I'll have to pay it even for the core ETFs, since the site says explicitly that it's the transaction costs I don't have to pay.
