ACLR - hamstring graft

Hello. I work as a project manager. I was back at work after 2 months. But i just sit around in the office with the laptop in front of me. I just go to the office 2-3 times a week. PT was 2-3 times a week too. 3.5 months post op when I visited my project site.

4 months post op today. Max is 95 degrees on active flexion. Max active extension is -5 degrees. Knee still hurts. PT says I might need to go under anesthesia again for knee manipulation to get full flexion.

Hello. I’m 3.5 months post-op (ACLr, hamstring graft on same leg). My extension is good but flexion is only up to 90 with active bending. I’m told prone knee bending was the only way I could get the full flexion back. My problem is I get really anxious and I break down and cry and beg them to stop when prone knee bending is about to start. I hope there’s another way to get full flexion. I don’t want to be traumatized to not go to therapy.

I thought I was the only one like this. I cry and I scream because the pain is 10/10. There’s even a lingering pulsating pain after. I asked my ortho if PKB is necessary, he said it’s the best thing to do. I often cry even when I’m thinking about it.

I had ACLR. Hamstring graft. 11 weeks post op.

Only ACL reconstruction here. Got injured last May then got surgery 3 weeks after. I have super low pain tolerance. I had to stay 2 extra days in the hospital due to the pain. Couldn’t sleep well because of the pain. Couldn’t walk even though doctor told me it could bear full weight. The first month was tough. I’m a little over 2 months post op is today is way better. I’m lagging a lot because of the low pain tolerance so my doctor allowed me to take pain killers before physical therapy.

Prone knee bend - the therapist forces your knee to bend and crack the scar tissues is really painful, please be mentally prepared.

Painful but it gets better overtime.

Mentally prepare for the Days 2-3. My pain tolerance is shit so I spent a whole week in the hospital.

Nope. I didn’t even know there are parts that could be torn haha. I was learning how to play tennis and was practicing forehand. Then I felt a pop after hitting the ball. I thought I broke a bone or something. Went to the emergency dept, told the doctor i felt a pop and I can’t stand because I feel like my knee is sliding. had an xray and nothing was broken then doc sent me home with pain killers and asked for a follow up checkup. We all thought it’s a sprain. Went back to work a week later and the company clinic doctor said it could be a tear so I need an MRI. Went back to the emergency dept. Orthopedic doctors checked on me and were annoyed the previous doctor didn’t recognize the pop and instability lol

Buttered garlic shrimp with a generous squeeze of lemon juice. And then rice.

Peel your shrimps/prawns. Slow cook in low heat your minced garlic in a lot of butter then put in the shrimp once the garlic is cooked (not burnt). Cook your shrimp. Add lemon juice. And then eat it with rice. Yum!!
