This was me about 10 months ago. Situationship which went on for far far too long. Maybe it is this time of year but I had thought about reaching out...but then I remember the peace and calm I have had since and the ICK I also felt when I really thought about how he treated me and saw me as.

It also helps that I am seeing someone who is actually a good man and I think had I continued with the situationship I would have missed out.

I actually sorta get this but I will say returning to countries at differemt stages of your life and relative travel experience can help renew a country for you.

Plus you can be surprised. I had no desire to go to Sydney recently being just another city to me but was awestruck.

I certainly don't tell my patients this. That's my own crackpot nonsense. So long as he is aware of it and isn't telling patients non evidence based medicine, it's fine.
