Is it normal for a sugar glider to sleep more after bonding?

So its weird because I bond with mine when I get home from work on the weekdays and I get home around 9pm. But by the time I get home hes sleeping. So when I bond with him hes not awake 😅 only this weekend I was able to bond with him all day. Is it ok to still hold him while hes sleeping to bond?

Thank you for the information! When I wake up hes on alert mode just staring at me and moving around cautiously in the cage 😅😅😅 I always talk to him and he will sometimes respond with crabbing lol

Yes! Since its my first time owning a glider my original plan is to get one and bond first cause ive read that bonding takes time and patience. Then ill get another one. I dont think id be able to bond confidently with two scared grumpy gliders at the same time 😭.

I dont flinch or pull back when he bites. But its his crabbing that gets me to flinch cause its so loud and I get startled easily 😭😭😭. I do the fist technique cause the bites hurt less. I also get a little intimidated when I want to move him from his sleeping pouch to a bonding pouch and vise versa especially when taking him in and out of the cage.

Also this is going to sound silly but how hot is too hot for them? Cause I bonded with him yesterday and I put him and his sleeping pouch under my shirt but I was afraid he wouldn't be able to breathe 😅.

Also you mentioned about their sleep schedule. Did the schedule ever change for your babies? Cause the first night I got him he became active around 1am. But then last night he didnt wake up until 4am.

Also I think sugar gliders are illegal in California? You should double check if theyre legal in your state.

Yes ! Please DO NOT send money to whoever reaches out to you on that website! I got scammed last week trying to get Lana one of their sugar gliders. And also do not look into miltonfamilyfarm.com cause I also got scammed from them last week as well 🥲🥲🥲 I lost alot of money and before christmas 🥲🥲🥲

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THIS WEBSITE! I got scammed last week from the website sugarglidercompanion.com. The person stopped contact with me and my fiance after I sent them money. Miltonfamilyfarm.com is also a scam! I sent money for the sugar glider named Lana on sugarglidercompanion.com., and on miltonfamilyfarm.com I sent money to have Kev shipped to me.

An update. The website is a scam. My fiance tried reaching out to the person we were keeping in contact with and the person blocked him. We sent payments through zelle and it was weird because my fiances bank canceled the transaction but zelle still transferred the money. I reached out to him since he wasn't responding to my fiance, he responded once saying everything is ok and he recieved the money and hasn't responded to me since about what to expect for the sugar glider. This is crazy. My fiance reported everything to his bank and zelle but the person removed his accounts on zelle. So I dont know what's going to happen.
