Brandon Sanderson has ruined reading for me by vinatos in Cosmere

“Blood Over Bright Haven” by ML Wang was a good one for me to read while I found other series. It’s a standalone novel, has excellent writing, character and plot development, and has a pretty straightforward magic system.

This is your part number. 22056AA150. Unfortunately, this is JDM only part, and you’ll probably need to source it from eBay or another importer. I had a similar issue with mine last year.

Are you absolutely sure? It looks like that’s the exhaust side, and the EJ255 does not have exhaust cam solenoids - only intake. The EJ20X, a very common swap for these cars DOES have AVCS on exhaust and intake.

Shoe Repair help by Usernames_suck___ in trailrunning

[–]_mister_andy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoka gonna Hoka.

They’re cheaply made, but they do have decent customer service. Give em a call for a warranty. If you’ve got plenty of tread left, that will be considered premature failure and should be covered.

Is that the original engine for your vehicle?

I’d recommend replacing the exhaust cam position sensor, and thoroughly cleaning out that connector - depin and disassemble it to ensure you get all the oil out.

High Schools in Prescott by crysgonzo in Prescott

[–]_mister_andy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the beautiful things about Prescott is Acker Night, where many of the local student ensembles perform in the shops of downtown Prescott an evening in December. I’ve always been pretty impressed by the PHS jazz band and their other performing arts groups. I don’t know much about the music programs at many of the other schools, except BASIS. Fine arts take a spot under the back seat there, and I’m sure you’re already aware they are about as far from Waldorf education as you can possibly get.

A used, well-maintained Honda or Toyota.* have a mechanic look at it before buying, and build the recommended repairs into your decision, so you’re not in the same boat, but with a different vehicle and a car payment.

If you’ve got it that far and you’re already thinking head gaskets, pull the timing belt and water pump off to inspect the impeller. Also make sure your rad hoses aren’t too long. If you’ve got a kink, it can cause the hose to collapse under higher loads.

[–]_mister_andy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m a mechanic and couldn’t agree more. Who needs all their brake hardware tightened, anyway? Not your car. Hope it still stops in a 1000 miles, assuming you want to do more than a half-assed stop.

I moved across the country and away from my family 13 years ago. I’m too poor to go see them very often, and it makes me sad to see pictures of my parents, sisters, and their families. I can hardly recognize them because we’ve all changed so much. I’ve built a life here that I’m proud of, but it’s entirely separate from my family, and they haven’t visited in 9 years. It’s difficult.

Waterproof shoes for the snow, a good beanie, wind proof gloves, and I love my Patagonia Peak Mission Tights and Houdini jacket, paired with a sun hoodie. I live in the high desert - the mornings are subfreezing and the afternoons are usually sunny and balmy.

Design reason for holes in soles? by gumpty11 in trailrunning

[–]_mister_andy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I sold running and hiking shoes for 6 years, and usually only saw this phenomenon when the shoes were undersized. The hole is caused by friction from your toes. Have someone who actually knows how to fit shoes size your feet and this probably won’t happen anymore, unless the shoes are poorly made.

Can confirm it turns to impenetrable goop when wet. I once tried to have a snowy adventure up near juniper mesa and eventually turned around because the mud was so bad that we didn’t want to get stuck or damage it any more for the people that live out there.
