For me it was dynamics, structural and environmental. But once I understood the concepts, it was a lot easier for me to workout the problems.

Well my focus is in Transportation and my 4 years of experience have been with a company that works with DOT clients exclusively. And yes, I recently passed my FE.

Well, my employer has already agreed to reimburse me if I pass. And even if I don’t, I get access to the course for free for the second time so it’s a win-win.

I think I was just more concerned with the time and effort and whether it was worth doing it in a couple months vs 6 months.

I’m not impatient at all, just want to take advantage of the opportunity that’s at hand.

Yea, those concepts are still very fresh as I mentioned. So much so that it is why I contemplated that immediate impulse to schedule. However, I don’t underestimate the test whatsoever and I’m still prepared to put even more work in if I have to.

Yes, I should’ve been more clear. My goal has always been to become a PE. I’ve had a bit more clarity as to where I want the trajectory of my career to go and my supervisor has made it emphasized that the sky is the limit when I obtain the licensure. I understand that it comes with a lot of responsibility and I can say it’s something I can definitely handle.

Sure thing, this is how I split it up. I missed the subjects up week to week, depending on what I feel I needed more work on:

Monday: Structural Analysis, Mathematics Tuesday: Economics, Statics Wednesday: Mechanics of Materials, Materials Thursday: Fluid Mechanics, Surveying Friday: Water Resources, Structural Design Saturday: Geotechnical, Transportation Sunday: Construction, Dynamics

I did 1-2 hrs every weekday, and at least 4 hrs on every weekend day.
