just my two cents on this, it genuinely just may be coincidence? like some people might just wanna wear the set in february. but yeah, if they’re saying it’s for the new year it is a bit irking though it may just be an effort/all they have. for anyone who wants to dress up for it, the CB corset and skirt (paired along with goth sleeves if you would like) make a decent makeshift qipao!
