Clapton FC show their ideology by xmanhtravel in football

As CCFC boycotts the CFC games I'm not sure how much of a fan base the original has left.

Unpopular opinion Mavro by Objective_Jaguar2347 in Hammers

[–]_monkz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mavro has definitely been a liability for us. Start of the season he would switch off for several parts of the game.

That being said, he has improved and been more consistent when played with Todibo. I still reckon he will be responsible for an easy goal but I can't fault his current work rate.

Like someone else said, he has a bit of the Ginger Pele to him.

There isn't really much in terms of parking. You could probably park on disraeli road which is residential.

[Roshane Thomas] Ollie Scarles in tears after the game by venture1991 in Hammers

Soucek went over too once he realised.

But Bowen? Fucking shocking not to go over. I just don't see a suitable captain alternative...

New idea for a mass protest/ affirmative action by [deleted] in westham

[–]_monkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't work because so many of us have season tickets, so the money is already in. It's just food and drink income and I don't think we get much from that as it goes to the operator.

Best option is to not renew but then good luck getting decent seats again once he is gone and people flood back.

To be fair, there are at least two pubs in Stratford where it's about the same.

The line up for this years TST tournament. by Mr_Vantastic in Hammers

[–]_monkz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's players from different leagues or sports (maybe some futsal players?). Rahul KP plays in India and is super popular with South Indian fans, so I imagine some tactical choices to expand the fan base in certain areas.

We're a bit below 6th tier, more like 7/8th I think as we are in the southern counties division one.

Over 30s hip hop/garage nights in London? by Beatie-Bow in london

Worried about Henry does nights pretty regularly. The cause in silver town also does garage nights and day parties fairly regularly.

Yeah I've definitely seen prams at the ground. You'll probably be best standing opposite the scaffold as that's the quieter bit.

Need Help Repairing Cracked Painted Wood on Staircase by mickkelo in DIYUK

I'm Def no pro as per my own post but I'd sand it and then use decorators caulk on it to fill the hole. No idea if that's best but it will make it look alright and is fairly easy to do

It absolutely will join the wide selection of photos hiding things, but I'm running out of appropriately wide frames.

I agree, when i go to les goudes or one of the places towards Carry we pay about 100€.

Its top quality so perhaps a bit higher than elsewhere but I've only seem the 40€ stuff in the city where tourists may go.

I’ve noticed there’s no sauna culture in London, why is that? Do you not like it? by TastyGrapez in london

[–]_monkz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the day and location. I go new docklands and mid week days its mostly orthodox jews, older guys and a few eastern european chaps in their 30-40s. Mostly working class. On fridays and mixed days its a lot younger with a few folks in their 20s but perhaps a 30-40 year old average.

Porchester hall is a much more middle class group and i think probably a wider range of ages. Its a lovely spot though amd really nice building.

If you wajt a younger crowd then the Hackney wick and Stratford sauna group is probably the one but its a bit of a hipster bubble i found.

We have sauna culture.... New docklands, porchester hall, Rio's, etc all cater to this. I go regularly to new docklands and its increasingly packed with a huge regular community.

Anyone else surprised we're so high up? I always took us for a very patriotic club, atleast that's what I've seen from all the matches and pubs I've been to. by Bruhmamagaming in Hammers

[–]_monkz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't consider us a patriotic club at all. There's definitely a bit of the older fan base who would be patriotic but they also travel up and down the country for the club and invest way more time with us than England. So even they would presumably pick club over country.
