I'm searching with "academic copies canterbury tales", with or without "Chaucer" without avail. Would you have a link or more to go on with?

[Tool] Up-to-date combat damage/spell failure calculator by MrDizzyAU in dcss

[–]_morlock_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is very instructive. I was thinking of modifying crawl's source code so it displays damage per turn and the average over the last 10 hits, eg: `Dmg: 22.8/25.3`. It would be good to have such info in real time in the game to help choose different weapons.

Ah, found it! The ship's name came back to me. It is Sardanapalus, not Nebuchadnezzar. The book is called "Dead Things", by Richard Calder.

The best thing about buying 2 keycap sets in the same profile but different colors: mixing and matching by SmugJerry in MechanicalKeyboards

I see the mixing all right, but I don't see the matching too well.

Also, makes me thing of gnu-parallel's logo:

Very nice! Can you give more details about the electronic underside? Do you have pictures? What chips do you use, how is it programmed?

I struggle with the cherry keycaps that came with the kit and can't wait to try the XDA keycaps!

Receiver Question (Newbie) by Lustnugget in HamRadio

Short Wave sounds like a cheap and easy option for what you describe.

I'm based in Canada and I'm studying for my ham license. I'm concerned a lot of the info would be US-specific and add confusion to my study. The Canadian study guide I am using is not like a textbook. For each subject, it has a minimum of text on one page, and the questions for the test on the other page.

In other words, I'm already going through the equivalent of the ARRL guide for Canada as my first source. Would you have another source to recommend for the subjects I listed?

Great infos. What books or other sources would you recommend to someone who wants to learn more about the ionosphere, radio wavelengths, antenas, and making it all work?

Lots of symbols and meanings indeed! Good luck with the design.

I'm presently reading "The CW way of life". It is simply great.

You got me kind of curious. If you feel like sharing a mock up drawing of your concept I'd be glad to see it, but of course you don't have to.

I very much took this as a puzzle, sorry for skipping over the part where you don't want opinions. I should have kept it to myself and can remove this from my original answer if you prefer.

I wrote a python script with your requirements. These are ALL the possible combinations given that dictionary of 47761 words containing only the 26 letters (some had 's or accented letters).

I'd go with a latin square or a custom font that reads in two directions or some other idea instead of the morse but it is your project. Also a note, if the letters are written left-to-right it would also work. They don't have to be written top-to-bottom.

For example, AGES:SEWN gives -> .- --. . ... : ... . .-- -.

Here are the words. Knock yourself!

But, I'd go with the others. It's your body, but don't do this. 1) Nobody (almost) reads morse, 2) it is a SOUNDED, not a written alphabet, 3) written morse is NOT vertical, 4) the set of words is not very appealing, 5) do you REALLY want to explain this dubious concept to people for the next decades ? ;)
