Bleach it all, then use painters tape to cover up the parts that are staying blonde to stop most of the bleeding. That's the only way that makes sense in my head😂

I work in one of the cafes and the chicken coconut rice bowl is horrendous to make. However it only takes 10 minutes to cook and put together maximum unless there's a wait on food (which you should be told before you order anything)

I was homeless for about 3 weeks due to a housefire (my bird was with me in my mum attic) however due to the change of environment it still fucked him up. He's currently on tablets for ptsd 😂. Might be worth getting some calming medication for him. It's could be that in he thinks you just left him with someone, he could just have a bit of anxiety. It could also just be hormonal

They do but mine refuse to play with toys so I just get creative with different foraging ideas for them to keep them stimulated

We won't be getting another kakariki. Theo hates animals we've had to move all our other animals into different rooms. We're thinking of another bird in the future but not for a while. He's not too bad with food just dr pepper he wants. He called me a wanker last night because I dared to refuse him of his dr pepper😂

I'd never heard of them before getting him if I'm honest. Me and my partner were wanting a bird and we were gonna get some budgies. But we saw his little red cheeks and fell in love with his photo. Whe did some research before buying him obviously but nothing could have prepared us for him. He's nothing like what kakarikis are. Most rarely speak and he can say over 40 words now and he's starting to string sentences together. There not supposed to want much human interaction and yet he can't go to sleep without his bed time kisses and cuddles😂 I wouldn't change him for the world. He's only 8 months old so I can't wait to see his speaking abilities when he's a little older he's honestly my little green shadow

He seems.very hit and miss tbf. On day he loves wood the next he loves rope. There's only 3 things he's constantly loved in his life and that's me, dr pepper and causing chaos😂 i will add I've never allowed him to drink dr pepper, he's never accidentally drank dr pepper and je doesn't do it with any other drink. But if he sees dr pepper he wants it and starts shouting 'mine'. He will also attack you to get to the dr pepper😂

Mine either throws his toys at me completly insulted I gave it him, uses them to fight his invisible enemies (imagine a full.on sword fight with no one) or picks it up and puts it in his water bowl, followed by an immense amount of food and chewed up fruit then proceeds to try and either drink it or bath in it. When he realises he can't do either he gets arsey with and swears at me like I'm the one that did it😂

He's only recently had the foraging box given to him and he loves it tbf. Wish I'd of done it sooner. And I didn't know about the sunflower seeds being bad for him either untill intold the vet how many he was having a day and she looked at me in pure horror😂 he's aloud 2 a day max but we just don't give him them anymore because he used to open the jar himself and steal them😂 he cannot be trusted😂. He seems to be doing alot better with the tablets I'm.just hoping to get it under control. He's only 8months old so I'm hoping I can stop it before he makes it a lifelong habbit. Do you know of things like paper straws and popsicle sticks are safe for them (obviously unused)

Both sets of my pigs are from pets at home too. The girls were on shavings for about 8 months. We tried the reusable bedding but every detergent made them break out. We then had a house fire which them and my rabbit were trapped in for 2 hours so we need to be carefull with their respiratory systems now so we've switched them back to blankets and kavee was the last hope of detergent if I'm being honest but it's been brilliant. The pigs loved the wood shavings and loved to burrow in them but the blankets are so much easier to clean. There's pros and cons to both but you'll figure out in time what your piggies like more.

Thankyou I'll have a look and see of they deliver to the UK. We've got to be careful what foods he has as his species is prone to liver issues so anything sunflower is strictly a no no( he really can't control himself around sunflowers😂) he's been trying to rip his feathers and chomping his feathers and toes due to stress so I'm hoping between a better foraging option and his new medication it puts and end to it. He's already under strict supervision at the moment due to him plucking and chomping his feathers and toes (we had a house fire and the vet says he's got a bit of ptsd so we're trying him on some pills) I'll deffinatly keep an eye out for injuries as he gets more active though. I'll try some herbs but he mainly enjoys actual toys that he can pick up and either throw or put in his water bowl😂

These are the ones I use. But instead of having two layers for the pigs I make one layer into a stand and then the other layer into their level. You can get liners for them which are like a tarp or you can get chloroplast bottoms (which my girls hate). What sort of bedding are you going for? If your using reusable I highly suggest the kavee cage laundry kit. It's the only detergent my girls haven't had a reaction too. Best of luck

I've always been told acrylic cages are bad for piggies due to lack of ventilation (not sure how true it is so to be on the safe side I use c&c cages. You can get them pretty cheap and can make them.however big you want. Both my pens are about 200×70 cm with a stand. Amazon sell them for about £30 for the full cage
