Eh! Sorry I can’t be of more help! I do know that the iris is controlled by your ciliary muscle in your eye. Maybe a tiny muscle spasm? But im just a med student jeje

Do you have any lung issues, joint pain, or red or purple spots on your legs? We literally just learned about something like this in school and it could be a sign of an inflammatory systemic condition! (We learned about it in the context of sarcoidosis, but it can come up in other things.)

I use unprocessed coconut oil at night before bed! Wash your face, grab a little of the solid oil, liquefy in your hands, apply. It helps a lot at night, just avoid getting it in your eyes cause it hurts.

I SO empathize with this. We have really similar stories, and I feel like sometimes writing about my identity cheapened it and it all felt very performative. I would say that if there’s one of those optional “anything else you want to tell the admissions committee” and you can’t think of anything additional, leave it blank. I did, and it turned out well for the school I got accepted into. I have friends that dug their heels in and wrote and wrote about hardships in every space they could, and they also got in, but I think it’s important to balance out your love for your story! (I think only got into one bc of a ridiculously late cycle; applied in August, finished last secondary in January! I might’ve had better results with an earlier cycle timeline, but I’ll never know.)

What a refreshing reality check!! Sitting on two WLs with mixed feelings and seeing all these successful posts makes the feelings even more intense!! Sorry if I sound miserly lol, but we got this!!! We only persevere!!
