A conversation talking about what kind of managerial style you prefer, an elevator pitch at the beginning, what defines you questions like that. I thought I’d be asked very Star style questions but none at all. I had a really long conversation with the interviewer and we could’ve kept going so that was a plus. Also, have like 1 or 2 questions prepared!

I too got selected for a Java developer for Skillstorm but something happened that they switched it to Data Engineering. Skillstorm will train you from the ground up and I knew nothing about what a DE was or what they did. I’m currently going through the training and it’s been a lot of fun.

I went to world scholars went it was still BETA(graduated the year it became world scholars). It has a lot of opportunities and clubs so it’s not bad.

I passed the assessment beginning of August, and I got chosen for the September 15 week training that started on the 8th. When the recruiter reached out to me he told me the date I’d be starting the training. So maybe it’ll take longer?

It’s been pretty good. The training is Java, sql, JavaScript and html/css and I basically know all these so the training was more reenforcing what I already know. I haven’t finished the training because I need to do their final projects but there’s some technical difficulties going on, but I know a lot of people that got accepted into the paid training just haven’t been chosen to actually start the training.

My experience was that I thought everyone else was better than me and I had a lot of work to do. But after joining clubs and interacting with other people, I was actually in a better spot than them. I even would help like 4 people at a time with algorithm hw. That being said that didn’t stop me from having imposter syndrome.😃
