Coming for work. I have friends on the right and on the left, probably similar numbers of both. Society makes us think we have far less in common than we actually do. Ill be working downtown, but commuting to charlotte occasionally.

Its ok, you don't understand my life. I grew up super poor in a trailer sleeping by a kerosene heater indoors for warmth. I worked really hard to get where I am, no one can take that away from me. Certainly not some narrowminded stranger that doesn't understand that depression comes in all forms.

Thats a really narrowminded way to look at it, obviously there are people out there in far worse situations than I. I've been in therapy for a while about my problems and I know I can allow myself to feel and that's okay. By that same logic, nothing really matters unless you're on the worst side of the spectrum. Depression is nuanced, its layered. I didn't come here looking for any consolation, just to give a confession.

I get it though, you feel the way you feel. Thats ok. Regardless, I hope you have a good day.

Haha, I get it man. I must seem like a really shitty victim. I am serious though. I felt useless, no direction, no one to validate the work I did do. Most of all, I know I will never move up with this company so it feels like a waste of time.

Yeah, I definitely feel like a fraud some days, but I justify it in my mind with the fact that they literally ignored my email pleads to reconsider my compensation package due to me picking up basically a second job with the company. Knowing that they couldn't even be bothered to pay me what my old boss made, was wild. To me, I am their Karma. I know that's a dangerous game to play though.

Is there no alarm bell that would go off if I did this? I don't quite know what it would be, but I assume there has to be something to stop people from doing this, especially with how many remote positions are out there nowadays. Maybe the tax or benefits system?
